Just Magnolia #167

Happy Friday fellow bloggers!

It's time for a new challenge over at Just Magnolia hAnglar and stAnglar challenge blog today.
This week the theme was chosen by the talented Jaqui:

 In the country!

Pop over to the blog to play, and for the chance to win a prize from our wonderful sponsors:
The Cutting Cafe' and  The Ribbon Girl

I thought the theme was a perfect excuse to ink up some of my new stamps from the Fall Leaves collection,
so I made this card:

I used kraft as base, and for the swirl tag and fence. I used Maja design papers as the "wall". The fence die is the Magnolia doohickey's lovely fence, and the grass die is from Cheryl Lynne Design. The flowers are a little punch. I punch it twice to get two colors. The horse and cow charms are from stash.

I colored my Tilda with Carrots with copics.

here's Goosebumps Tilda and the supercute moose. All colored with Copics.

These charms are so cute, I got them on eBay ages ago.
The tag die is Magnolia doohickey, So Wrapped Swirly. It's painted with Tim Holtz crackle paint, and distressed with vintage photo- but you can't really see it in the photo. It kind of gives it a worn, aged look. I did the same thing with the papers.

Hope you like it! Pop over to the Just Magnolia blog to see the beautiful creations from the DT and join in the fun!

I would like to enter my card in to the following challenges:
Crafts and me: #94 Anything goes!
Simon Says Stamp:  Anything Goes!
Divas by design: Happy Birthday!

Wishing you a wonderful summer weekend!

Tailor Tilda

Hi bloggers!

Happy Sunday! Today I want to show you my DT card for the Live & Love Crafts Inspiration and challengeblog.

We are showcasing the beautiful Riddersholm papers this week. They are perfect for that soft, shabby chic feeling I wanted to create on this card.
I also used a little peace of scrap paper, a doily and a piece of corrugated cardboard.

I colored the Magnolia Taylor Tilda with Tim Holtz distress ink pads. I used my sewing machine along the edges and glued on some Bakers Twine cotton thread.

I used the gorgeous  Alecon Lace, and Hortensia flowers- petal pink along with flowers from Kort og Godt flowers. The sentiment stamp is from Kreativ Hobby.

I found the perfect charms for this card in the Live & Love craft store:  The Singer Sewing Machine from Reprint, and the Maya Road Love Hangar.

I mainly used the papers  to decorate the inside, a piece of scrap paper, Martha Stewart punch, a doily and some swirl-stamps for the edges of the circle. I used my sewing machine and Tim Holtz distress ink- vintage photo, to distress all the edges.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp lovers: Sugar (Tilda only)
Allsorts challengeblog: Distressing (to color the image and distress all the edges).

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!

Tutorial

Hello bloggers.
I would like to say hello to my  new followers. Hope you find some inspiration here! i certainly do hopping around your blogs to see what you make!
I've been asked to show how I make the legs "stick out" from the diecut. Like I did in this card I made for the Tildas Town Challenge last week:
---

Hei folkens!
Håper både gamle og nye følgere  finner litt inspirasjon her i bloggen min.

I made this tutorial today, trying to explain how:
---

***********

1. What you need is:
A cutting machine (mine is the Epic Six), a colored image, scissors and/or scalpel, a pencil and an eraser, a cutting mat and the die of your choice. The one I used here is the Lifestyle Crafts - Nesting Doily Circles from Qick Kutz.
----

2. Mark with you Pencil.

Start with placing your die over the image where you want it to be. Draw softly with your pencil on both sides of where the image is.
----

3. Cut
Use your scalpel or your scissors to cut around the image on the outside of what is to be the diecut. You have to follow the line of the image and your marks.

---

 Now it looks like this:
---
Nå ser det slik ut:

4. Place your die.
Place the die where you want it. Make sure the parts you want outside the diecut is on the back of the die, so it wont be cut in your machine.
---

5. Make your diecut.

Run the die threw you machine. As you can see in the picture, the legs are on the back of the die, so they wont be cut off.
---

When you're done, it looks like this/ når du er ferdig ser det slik ut:

6. Finishing.
Use your eraser to remove your marks.
---
Bruk viskelæret til å fjerne blyantstrekene.

And you are done, ready to make your card or project!

I hope this was useful!
Hugs,
